1. Collection of Personal Data
This Personal Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) is issued to all valued customers and prospective customers pursuant to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA"). In the course of your dealings with Melati Ehsan Holdings Berhad and its subsidiaries (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Melati Ehsan Group"), you may be requested to provide personal data and information (“Personal Data”) to enable us to enter into transactions with you, or to deliver relevant notices, services and/or products. Your Personal Data is essential for business processes, execution, delivery of services/products, client relationship management, planning of future product launches, promotional activities, and other related events organized within our projects or townships. We treat the confidentiality and security of your Personal Data with the utmost importance.
2. Nature of Personal Data
The types of Personal Data collected may include, but are not limited to, your name, age, NRIC number, passport number, address, gender, date of birth, marital status, occupation, income range, contact details, email address, employer details, race, ethnic origin, nationality, loan application details, introducer’s information (name, address, NRIC number), and any other information necessary to enable the Melati Ehsan Group to provide its services and products.
3. Consequences of Failure to Provide Personal Data
Failure to provide the required Personal Data may result in:
- Our inability to provide the requested notices, services, and/or products;
- Hindrance in executing and completing Sales and Purchase Agreements or other related contracts; and/or
- Our inability to update you on our latest products, launches, promotions, and services.
4. Purpose of Collecting Personal Data
Your Personal Data may be collected, used, and otherwise processed for purposes including, but not limited to:
- Sending invitations to property launches, promotional materials, advertisements, and administrative notices;
- Recommending properties similar to those previously purchased (if applicable);
- Delivery and marketing of notices, services, and/or products;
- Facilitating execution of agreements and/or contracts relating to our products and services (particularly for real estate customers);
- Customer relationship management;
- Conducting marketing activities and customer profiling;
- Performing credit assessments and background checks;
- Maintaining internal records;
- Collection of outstanding payments;
- Preventing fraud, money-laundering, bribery, and other criminal activities;
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations;
- Conducting research, benchmarking, and statistical analysis;

- Managing vacant possession, key handovers, property/estate management, customer care, and defect rectification; and
- Delivering post-vacant possession services such as clubhouse facilities, security, and loyalty programs.

While your Personal Data will generally be kept confidential, you hereby consent and authorize us to disclose it to the following parties:
- Government bodies, regulatory authorities, or any party as required by law;
- Related companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, or successors of Melati Ehsan Group (current and future entities);
- Business partners and affiliates;
- Municipal councils, land offices, and housing development authorities;
- External professional advisors, including auditors, consultants, accountants, and legal counsel;
- Contractors, subcontractors, and third-party service providers engaged by us;
- Property management companies managing the properties purchased;
- Loyalty programs service providers;
- Utilities and service providers including but not limited to:
- Tenaga Nasional Berhad;
- Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd;
- Indah Water Konsortium;
- Actual or prospective purchasers in the event of a sale, merger, or acquisition; and
- Other relevant entities such as:
- Joint Management Bodies;
- Management Corporations;
- Banks, financial institutions, and appointed valuers.
6. Safeguards
We will store and process your Personal Data in a secure manner. Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures will be employed to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Data Transfer and Sharing
Where necessary for data storage, processing, or providing a service on our behalf, we may transfer your Personal Data to affiliated companies or third-party service providers within or outside Malaysia, ensuring confidentiality and comparable data protection standards.
8. Your Rights to Access and Correct Personal Data
You have the right to:
- Request access to your Personal Data for verification purposes;
- Request correction of your Personal Data if inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated;
- Request that your Personal Data be retained only as necessary;
